Big Bear’s Ultra 2025: International Field, New Race, Records Broken

by | Sep 30, 2025 | Uncategorized | 0 comments

The 3rd edition of Big Bear’s Ultra brought an unforgettable weekend to Slovakia’s mountains. Runners from 18 countries gathered at the start, confirming the race’s fast-growing international reputation.

A major highlight was the debut of the BBU40, a new 40 km course that quickly won runners’ hearts – and delivered both a sporting and logistical challenge, with a full road closure enabling a safe and spectacular start.

Across all distances, the competition was fierce: course records fell, personal limits were pushed, and the atmosphere was lifted by perfect – if sometimes hot – weather.

The organizers expressed gratitude to all who made the event possible: runners for their energy, volunteers for their tireless support, partners and institutions for their cooperation, and the small organizing team for their hard work.

With every edition, Big Bear’s Ultra continues to grow – proving that even a young race can rise to international standards. The next edition is set for September 19–20, 2026.
