From 24–26 April 2026, the 11th edition of Ultra Trail Vipava Valley I Feel Slovenia once again brought the Vipava Valley to life. Over 2,600 runners, hikers, and trail enthusiasts from 60 countries gathered to take on one of Slovenia’s most iconic trail events.

Across six race distances — from the demanding 163 km Emperor course to shorter, faster routes — participants experienced a diverse mix of terrain: technical climbs, ridgelines, vineyards, and even cross-border sections between Slovenia and Italy. For those seeking a more relaxed experience, the Obelix Hike & Wine offered a unique combination of movement, local cuisine, and wine.

The weekend kicked off with an opening ceremony in Ajdovščina and continued with a dynamic race program, from Kids Runs to the highly anticipated 100-mile start on Friday evening. Throughout Saturday, waves of runners filled the courses, while the finish-line atmosphere grew as the first athletes began to arrive.

Among the standout performances, Ivan Hrastovec claimed victory on the 163 km Emperor course, while Paula Vrdovljak led the women’s race. Strong performances across all distances highlighted the international level of competition.

Beyond the races, the event delivered a full experience — with 17 aid stations, local food, live music, and the support of more than 600 volunteers. With the involvement of multiple municipalities, tourism boards, and local communities, the event continues to grow into a key trail-running experience in the region.
