Val di Zoldo (Belluno Dolomites), June 14, 2026 – Three days of racing, seven events, 3,476 competitors, and athletes from 70 countries: these are the headline numbers of the 2026 edition of the Kailas Fuga Dolomiti Extreme Trail 2026, one of the most prestigious trail running events on the international calendar.
Held from June 12 to 14 in Val di Zoldo, the event featured seven races of varying distances. The flagship race was the 103K, starting and finishing in Forno di Zoldo, with an elevation gain of 6,400 meters. Runners set off at 10:00 p.m. on Friday and tackled a demanding and technical course through the spectacular landscapes of the Dolomites, passing beneath Moschesin, Moiazza, Civetta, Pelmo, Monte Rite, and Bosconero.
The men’s race was won by Simone Corsini, the athlete from the Reggio Emilia Apennines, whose résumé includes two runner-up finishes at the Tor des Géants and a victory at the Monterosa by UTMB. Corsini completed the course in 13 hours, 45 minutes, finishing just over eight minutes ahead of Alberto Freschi. Third place went to Danilo Lantermino, nearly fifty minutes behind the winner.
In the women’s race, a thrilling battle unfolded between Susanne Juliane Hofmann of Germany and Dariia Bodnar of Ukraine. Bodnar emerged victorious in 17 hours, 43 minutes, finishing less than fifteen minutes ahead of Hofmann. Giorgia Nichetti completed the podium in third place.
“It was a great battle, and in the end I managed to win it,” said Corsini. “I struggled a bit during the night, but I overcame the difficulties and secured my second victory in Val di Zoldo after winning the 55K in 2019.”
“I started cautiously because the first part of the course was very technical,” said Bodnar. “As the kilometers went by, I felt stronger and stronger, and eventually I won. It’s a huge satisfaction to achieve this success among such beautiful mountains.”

Mini DXT Inspires the Next Generation
As tradition dictates, the event also focused on youth participation. The final act of the weekend was the Mini DXT, a gymkhana-style race involving around 200 children and teenagers. The young participants were accompanied and later awarded by local mountain running legends Lucia Arnoldo and Isacco Costa, both fresh from competing at the European Mountain Running Championships.
New Partnership with China
The 2026 edition also marked the launch of a new international partnership between the Kailas Fuga Dolomiti Extreme Trail and the FUGA Glacial Extreme GONGGA 100, a 100-kilometer race held on the glacier of Mount Gongga (7,556 m) in Sichuan. The top three men and women in the 103K race earned complimentary entries to the Chinese event.
Organizers Celebrate Record Participation
“We are closing another successful edition of the Kailas Fuga Dolomiti Extreme Trail and we are truly delighted,” said Corrado De Rocco, President of Atletica Zoldo, and race director Paolo Franchi.
“With 3,476 runners from 70 nations, we have continued the event’s growth trend. It is an important opportunity to promote the entire valley as the summer tourist season opens. The greatest satisfaction has been the enthusiastic feedback from participants, supported by more than 500 volunteers along the course.”
The organizers also confirmed that further refinements to the routes, services, and side events are already planned for the 2027 edition.
